As a third-generation photographer, Nick’s earliest memories of photography include playing with his father’s Argus 35mm camera and watching slide shows of his grandfather’s adventures in the Sahara, the Amazon, and beyond. From a young age, adventure and photography were one and the same.
In 2013, Nick received his first camera, sparking a journey that has taken him across the country to capture landscapes, street photography, real estate, and even numerous venues and concerts while touring as a musician. By 2025, he had graduated with a Bachelor’s in Photography from Middle Tennessee State University, where he studied a wide range of photographic techniques, including small, medium, and large-format film photography, various developing and printing processes, and alternative processes like cyanotypes. Additionally, he has expertise in digital photography, retouching in Photoshop, and, most recently, CGI.
Nick is the owner and founder of CPI Studio, a Detroit-based creative agency where he applies his diverse skill set to produce stunning visual content. His portfolio includes work as the live photographer for Grammy Award winner Cory Henry, showcasing his ability to capture high-energy moments with precision and artistry. Additionally, Nick was featured in Photographer Forum’s 2017 Best High School & College Photographers, a testament to his dedication to the craft from an early age.
Nick also runs his own Patreon, where he teaches product photography, retouching, and CGI, sharing his expertise with aspiring photographers and creatives around the world.
Now, Nick is excited to share his passion for photography through live group workshops. He thrives on connecting with students in a collaborative, hands-on environment and guiding them to unlock their creative potential!
