Fourth Avenue became a commercial district after the construction of the Fourth Avenue Underpass in 1916. Today this vibrant commercial corridor is populated by over 140 locally owned boutiques, bars, and cafes; all residing in historic buildings. The north section of 4^th Avenue sits in the West University neighborhood, which is a combination of 1910 to 1940’s California Bungalow-style and older Victorian-era homes. Both areas offer interesting photographic opportunities due to the abundance of color, commercial hubbub, charming homes and architecture.

Wear good walking shoes, a hat, and bring water while we walk the area and hone our composition skills while creating photographs of the buildings, plants and funky urban vibe that fill this area.
