Emma McDonaldEmma is a graduate of East Carolina University (Greenville, NC), where she earned a BFA in Photography, focusing on portraiture. Upon graduating, she moved to Paris, France, to work as an assistant to Michael von Graffenried, a world-renowned photojournalist. During her time in Paris, she also worked for a Galerie Esther Woerdehoff, a professional photo gallery in Montparnasse, where she handled works of Elliott Erwitt, Helmut Newton, and René Burri.
After returning to the U.S., Emma started her career as a freelance photographer. Over the past five years, in addition to photographing events, live music, and fashion, Emma has also served as a photography instructor at The Light Factory in Charlotte, NC, and the Digital Photo Academy in New York. In 2011, she spent a year at Vanity Fair working in advertising sales and as a contributing blogger.
Born in small-town North Carolina, Emma’s friendliness (what some might call “Southern charm”) allows her to easily connect with clients and develop a vision for their photography needs.
Call Digital Photo Academy at 1 877 372 2231. Lots of people seem to hang up if our welcome recording comes on instead of a live voice, but we promise to return your message within a day or two if you leave one with your name and number. It would be even better if you included your e mail address as well as the date and city of the class you are considering. If leaving a voice mail message is not your thing, please email us at DPAbooking@digitalphotoacademy.com or Richard@digitalphotoacademy.com.
